Included blocks

2 minutes

JLSM comes with 31 ready-made blocks, grouped in five categories. Each block is one schema.org ↗ type with required and common properties already set up. Use a block as it is, or duplicate it and adapt it to your site by changing the type, or by adding or removing properties. You can also categorise the blocks and give them a description, which helps you keep them distinct.

Some blocks describe part of a page

BreadcrumbList, FAQPage, HowTo and ItemList usually describe a component on the page, not the whole page. Your development team or Sitecore partner can connect these. See For Sitecore partners.

Questions

Can I change a Library block?

Yes. Use it as it is, or duplicate it and adapt the copy. Your copy is yours to change.

What if the type I need is not in the list?

You can create a block from scratch and choose its schema.org type.

Do blocks hold my values?

No. A block sets the shape. The values go in when you add the block to a graph. See How it works.
